Effective Date: Feb 7th, 2026
1. Service Scope
Our detailing packages include only the services specifically listed under each package tier. Any service not explicitly listed is not included and, if requested, will be quoted and charged separately. We reserve the right to decline services not previously agreed upon or that require specialized tools or excessive labor beyond the scope of typical detailing.
2. Vehicle Condition
The Client affirms that the vehicle is in operable condition unless otherwise stated. Excessively soiled vehicles (e.g., with pet hair, mold, biohazards, or excessive stains) may incur additional charges. Competitive Auto Care reserves the right to refuse service if the vehicle condition poses a risk to the detailer or equipment.
3. Access & Utilities
The Client must provide reasonable access to the vehicle, including keys and clearance to move or clean it. Competitive Auto Care is not liable for any utility charges (e.g., water or electricity) incurred during mobile or onsite detailing services.
4. Booking, Deposits & Payments
A non-refundable deposit of $30 is required to reserve any appointment. This deposit will be applied to the final cost of the service. If the Client cancels the appointment, the deposit will be forfeited. If the Client reschedules with at least 24-hour notice, the deposit may be applied to the new appointment date.
Payment in full is due immediately upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to service being performed. Accepted forms of payment include cash and major credit cards (Visa, Discover, and American Express), as well as Venmo.
By providing a credit or debit card, the Client authorizes Competitive Auto Care to charge the card for any remaining balance due, as well as for applicable fees outlined in these Terms.
5. Late Payments & Fees
If payment is not received on the day of service, the unpaid balance will be considered past due. A late fee of $15 per day will be assessed beginning the day after service completion and will continue to accrue daily until the total balance is paid in full, or unless stated otherwise. The Client agrees that Competitive Auto Care may pursue collection actions for unpaid balance, including but not limited to debt collection services, legal action, and recovery of costs, attorney’s fees, and court expenses.
6. Chargebacks & Dispute Protection
By authorizing payment for services, the Client acknowledges that services were rendered as agreed and waives the right to dispute or initiate chargebacks with the card issuer for services already rendered and accepted. In the event of a chargeback or payment reversal, the Client remains responsible for the disputed amount, any associated fees, and any additional costs incurred to resolve the chargeback.
7. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment may result in a cancellation fee of up to the deposit amount or a flat fee of $25 to cover lost time and labor. No-shows will be charged in full for the scheduled service.
8. Liability & Satisfaction
Competitive Auto Care is not liable for pre-existing damage to the vehicle’s exterior, interior, or mechanical condition. We are not responsible for damage resulting from aging, faulty parts, aftermarket accessories, or poor paint condition. Photos will be taken before and after detailing for both liability documentation and promotional purposes.
9. Weather Policy
If mobile services are impacted by weather (rain, snow, extreme heat, etc.), appointments will be rescheduled at no cost to the Client.
10. Property Left in Vehicle
The Client is responsible for removing all personal items from the vehicle. Competitive Auto Care is not liable for lost or damaged items left inside.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction Clause
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah. Any dispute relating to these Terms, invoices, or services provided shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Salt Lake County, Utah, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
12. Modification of Terms
Competitive Auto Care reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website and will apply to any scheduled or future services.
