About Competitive Auto Care
I've been detailing cars for four years.
I started at a dealership. That's where I learned the work — dozens of cars, every kind of mess, and a manager watching the clock. You learn fast, and you learn what "good enough" looks like when someone else is setting the standard.
I didn't want to do good enough.
I started Competitive Auto Care at 17. I wanted to do the work my own way, on my own terms, and build something that was actually mine. Four years later that's what this is — my business, my name on it, and my hands on your car.
The Story
I could have opened a shop. I didn't want to.
A shop means you drop your car off, arrange a ride, and lose half a day. It means your car is one of eight in a bay, and whoever's free is working on it.
Mobile means I show up at your house with water, power, and a canopy, and your car never leaves your driveway. You keep your day. And every car I take on, I'm the one working on it.
Why Mobile?
What I actually care about
One client sticks with me. She was having a rough stretch — completely overwhelmed, too much going on. I came out and detailed her car in her driveway, and when I handed her the keys she was genuinely, visibly relieved. It wasn't about the car. It was one thing off her list that she didn't have to think about anymore.
That's stayed with me. I clean cars for a living, but most of the time what people actually want is for something in their week to be handled without a hassle. That's the job.
No automatic anything. Hand wash, clean media, two buckets.
You get a price before I start, not a bill after I finish.
If you don't need something, I'll tell you. Including if that means you spend less.
If I can't fix it, I'll say so. I'd rather lose the job than take money for something I can't deliver.
