Ceramic Coating in Salt Lake City

Gtechniq CSL + EXO v5. Paint correction included. Up to 5 years of protection.
What a ceramic coating actually does
Wax lasts a month. Sealant lasts a few months. A ceramic coating is a hard, semi-permanent layer that chemically bonds to your clear coat and stays there for years.
Water beads and rolls off instead of sitting on the paint. Dirt and road grime have a much harder time sticking. Bird droppings, bug guts, and tree sap don't etch as fast, because they're not touching your paint — they're sitting on the coating. Washing takes half the time because nothing is bonded on.
And it looks like the day it left the showroom, except deeper. The gloss is the part people don't expect.
Gtechniq CSL + EXO v5
I use Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light as the base coat, topped with EXO v5.
CSL is the hardness — it's what resists swirls and chemical etching, and it's what gives you the durability. EXO is the top layer — it's what makes water sheet off, and what gives the coating its slickness and gloss.
Together they're rated to last up to 5 years with proper maintenance. Not a six-month "ceramic spray." A real coating.
I use Gtechniq because it's what I'd put on my own car. There are cheaper coatings. They don't last.
A coating locks in whatever's underneath it. If your paint has swirls and scratches and I coat over them, those swirls are sealed in for five years. That's why correction isn't an add-on here — it's part of the job, and it's already in the price.
What I do: a one-step machine polish that removes most defects — swirls, light scratches, oxidation, water spots. On most cars that's a dramatic difference. Paint that was dull and hazy comes back deep and glossy.
What I'll tell you straight: a one-step doesn't remove every defect. Deep scratches — the ones you can catch a fingernail in — need multi-stage correction, and I don't do that in a driveway. If your car needs it, you'll hear that from me before we book, not after.
Most cars don't need it. But you should know exactly what you're buying.
The coating is only as good as the paint under it
$800 - $1500
Price depends on the size of the vehicle and the condition of the paint. A well-kept sedan sits at the bottom of that range. A neglected three-row SUV sits at the top.
Every paint coating includes:
Full decontamination wash — iron removal and clay bar
One-step machine polish to correct paint defects
Panel wipe to strip all oils and polishing residue
Gtechniq CSL base coat
Gtechniq EXO v5 top coat
Coat more than the paint:
Glass coating — water sheets off your windshield; wipers barely needed above 40mph
Wheel coating — brake dust rinses off instead of baking on
Trim coating — keeps black plastic from fading to gray
Priced separately. I'll quote them with the paint coating.
I’ll look at your car and give you an exact number before anything gets booked
